Once we’ve been advised of a loss, a claims specialist -- an "adjuster" -- will be assigned to look after your claim. The adjuster's job is to determine the facts relating to the claim and the extent to which the claim is covered by insurance. The adjuster, who is paid by the insurance company, may in some cases also attempt to reach an agreement with the other people involved regarding the amount of their loss and/or the extent of their responsibility.
When you make a claim, we promise to:
- Contact you within 24 hours,
- Deal fairly, honestly and competently with your claim, and
- Keep you informed during the process.
Our claims adjuster can clarify a number of important points for you, including:
- The coverage provided in your insurance contract.
- Emergency measures to take in the event of a loss.
- Walk you through the procedures so that your claim can be concluded with a minimum of inconvenience to you.
